This week’s theme is “radical acceptance” or “accepting the things you can’t change”.
Think about a situation from your past or present and practice radical acceptance.
Acceptance does not mean that you approve of something or like it. Acceptance means that you are turning suffering you can’t cope with into a challenge you can cope with. So, guide your mind down a different path and make an inner commitment to accept reality for what it is (Miller et al., 1999).
You may not need to use this skill right now, but keep it in your back pocket. Please do not be discouraged if this skill does not work the first time. It is very hard to master but does have rewarding results!
Be who you are,
Janine
