Motivational Monday: Be a Mentor

Hi everyone,

This week’s theme is “be a mentor”.

“By learning you will teach, by teaching you will learn.” ~Latin Proverb

Useful tips to become or strengthen your skills as a mentor:

1)    LISTEN

2)    ask the question, “What do you need right now?”

3)    give advice but do not tell someone what to do

4)    talk about your experiences but don’t compare them to someone else’s experiences

5)    Silence is ok

6)    be a role model and practice what you preach

7)    adjust your style to best match someone else’s style

8)    don’t wait until tomorrow, start today!
