Where’s the modesty?
Always Daring, Overbearing
humble I can’t see.
Life on Top, NEVER STOP
Leading the whole pack.
feeling hollow, tears to swallow
wanting to go back.
lighting gone, now a pawn
makeup on the floor.
hiding still, long gone thrill
famous never more.
once a star, gone too far
searching for a place.
make a choice, change your voice

Sometimes people continually crave the spotlight or the next big thing. “Superstars” can shine too much light, often clouding their judgment and blocking their sight. Shining from the outside never brings us true happiness. It’s most important to shine from within.
