Not sure I can put this into words but I will try.
I biked through Big Horn Pass in Wyoming, through the Rocky Mountains, covering 99 miles to Sheridan, WY.
Ok no big deal…well, yes it was.
The total ascent for the day was 8,000 feet, and at grades that would tear Achilles if you were walking.
I was gasping for air for about 5 hours, from biking coupled with the high altitude; but my mantra everyday is to finish. And I did!
It took 11 hours and is considered one of the toughest bike rides to do (learned that after the fact).
It also brings me back to why I am doing this: to help others, and to honor a young woman I know and love. No effort is too great.
Onto tomorrow…
Dan
