Today was a dose of reality… and a 120 mile ride.
Truth be told, I crushed it and it felt great!
There is also another Dan on this ride and he is great. We met his brother and work team, and he slept in his own bed in Toledo, Ohio today.
His wife is a cancer survivor and his kids are super. I’m proud to say I now will consider him a life-long friend.
Everyone on this ride has a motivation and I’m so blessed to have 20 new great friends.
Life is short but I feel I am finally enjoying mine to the fullest.
I of course miss and greatly appreciate my family and friends more, and with 10 rides left I’m getting emotional thinking about the finish.
But I have to stay focused and ultra prepared!
