The Perfect Day!
So today it was cold, rainy, and we rode in a constant headwind…but a perfect day. Why??
Well I was surprised by my daughter, Alanna, my sister-in-law, Lois, a family friend, Judy, and my college friends, Slick and Nancy (and Sammy by video :)) at the Ithaca Bakery in downtown Ithaca during my ride today.
What an emotional experience and the hugs were sooooooooo needed!
It’s been six plus weeks and I needed a reminder of home!!!
Also went for some photos of the IC Baseball field ( had to )!
When I arrived in Cassevonia, NY my Mom was there with her friend Sue and we had a great dinner and the love fest continued!
5 days to go and today will carry me through!
Also a special shout out to Bruce and Dave my co riders who shared in the experience, and took me under their wing the whole day!!!
I keep telling people that this ride was way above my reach athletically and the difference everyday is the support I get from all!
